Submit A Show Listing

Please only submit music events with bands or solo artists playing original music. At this time, we do not list cover band shows, dance/theme nights, stand up comedy events. This is subject to change in the future. If you submit an event and it is not listed, this is likely the reason. We apologize that we do not have the bandwidth to reply and explain this to everyone who attempts to list these.

Because honestly, we miss some! I think we do a good job of creating listings for about 90% of the shows in the city, but sometimes things are announced last minute, the details aren’t available online or it’s just human error and we don’t see it. This especially applies to DIY venues/houses where a standard calendar or organized roundup of upcoming events doesn’t always exist.

At this time, please only submit shows within Philadelphia. The ethos of the site is that every show gets equal attention - and we are completely incapable of listing neighboring counties and NJ shows at this time. It’s likely we never expand - but please remember to submit your band’s shows in Philly!

While we absolutely want all events submitted to philly-shows.org, we want to respect the privacy and situation of DIY show organizers.

If someone attempts to submit the physical address of a DIY venue or house, we likely will not list it and instead take the standard practice of stating on the listing for any interested people to contact the organizer/venue via social media.

That’s no problem! We appreciate this detail if it’s available, but not all listings on the site need ticket/door prices listed if they aren’t available. If you submit a listing and find out this information later, you can always send us an email and we are happy to update the listing!

The site’s goal is to gather the information for people so they have all the info they need to dec de whether or not they want to go a show. Having a link to an event listing or at the very least a flyer reduces people having to search further.

philly-shows.org is a non-profit community resource. even at our best, we are not typically sitting ready to list something at a moment’s notice — and we only do major site content updates 1-2 times a week. It’s unlikely we can reliably publish your event details same day — you will want to save your time and not submit!
